Consultancy

Make what you've built more neuroinclusive.

From individual content to whole programmes, products and experiences, we help you understand where the way something has been designed might be creating barriers, and what you can do about it.

And it starts with a simple question:

How does this actually work for the people using it?

When something isn't working…

You might already know where the problem is.

Or you might just know something isn't working, but not why.

People may be dropping out of a process, struggling to navigate information, disengaging from learning, or not getting the same opportunity to participate.

We help you work out where the barriers are, and what to do about them.

We’ve consulted for

How we can help

Audit the whole experience

We look at the journey from start to finish, identifying where processes, systems, communications or content could be creating unnecessary barriers.

Redesign programmes and content

We turn what we find into practical changes, from restructuring a programme to rewriting content, resources and learning experiences.

Make complex information more accessible

We help make important or complicated information easier to understand and navigate for a wider range of people.

See it in practice

Building an accelerator for dyslexic entrepreneurs

As part of a collaboration with Guessworks Training, we worked with Virgin StartUp on Momentum, its accelerator for dyslexic founders. We reviewed the programme through a neuroinclusion lens, looking at everything from marketing and communications to content design and the learning experience itself, and trained the people delivering it.

"Working with We the Creators has been transformational. Sascha is deeply insightful, collaborative and a pleasure to work with."

Elle Upshall, Virgin Start up

Making library spaces work better for neurodivergent families

We worked with Sheffield Libraries to rethink how their services and spaces work for neurodivergent children, young people and families. Alongside training staff, we looked at the whole experience, from signage and welcome information to the physical environment and the design of calm and sensory spaces, helping the team make practical changes based on what families actually need.

Designing a digital app with the people who will use it

We worked with Tiny Medical Apps on an epilepsy Digital Health Passport designed to help people communicate important information about themselves and their care. Alongside training the team in neuroinclusive design and reviewing the product and content, we carried out user research with non verbal people with learning disabilities to understand what they wanted others to know and how they wanted to communicate it. Those insights helped shape the development of the product.

“Sascha’s user research was one of the best pieces of user research we've commissioned."

Dr Greg Burch, Joint CEO and Clinical Director, Tiny Medical Apps

Opening up access to innovation funding

We worked with SBRI Healthcare to examine how accessible its funding process was for neurodivergent applicants. We reviewed the applicant journey, including guidance, webinars, communications and support, then redesigned key content and resources to make a complex process clearer and easier to navigate. The work gave the team practical tools and principles they could continue using across future funding competitions.
